Reflections in Tea/a Ceremony is a celebration of a 2,000 year old culture that honors the spirit of Tea as a meditative-sensory experience and a living art. By finding a space to commune with nature, ourselves and one another, this work in progress explores the interplay of presence as we return to the simple joy of living.
Guests  will be taken to a space of contemplation, in a waiting room before entering the ceremonial space,  leaving their belongings behind and washing their hands to purify, to sit in quietness, experiencing the ceremony and tasting the 2021 Chinese tea harvest prepared by the host.
After the ceremony, each guest will be invited to share their own reflections in Tea. The ceremony will conclude  with stories and myths of how Tea was discovered.
The event is open to 10 guests. Proof of vaccination is required and social distancing with assigned seats will be observed.Â
From entry to end, the even will run approximately 70 minutes.
