The Traveling Solo panel will particularly appeal to those looking to better understand the logistics, the joys and travails, and the creative challenges of traveling with a one-person show. We’ll discuss questions such as how traveling internationally changes the perception of solo work, thoughts on finding audiences in unfamiliar places, and how a show’s structure and content may help or hinder its ability to find venues.

With:

Tjasa Ferme: international, award-winning film/television/stage actress based in New York, whose solo show, Wild Child in the City, was featured as a part of Theaterlab’s 2016 Fall in Love with Solo season

Ana Margineanu: Romanian immersive theatre director and co-founder of PopUP Theatrics.

Erwin Maas: Theater/opera director, teacher, international performing arts advocate from the Netherlands who has worked extensively in Australia, Europe, and South Africa

Elizabeth Hess: Writer and performer whose solo works have won awards both in the United States and abroad.

Sylvia Milo:  Performer, playwright, and producer whose award-winning solo play The Other Mozart has toured the US and Europe
