Between the Seas theater productions presents

The early days of the Syrian conflict unfold through the stories and personal conflicts of Noura, Zeid, Farah and Karim. Based on real life material collected through interviews with young Syrians, Mohammad al Attar, one of Syria’s leading playwrights, has created an intriguing documentary piece where questions of truth, history and political action intertwine with the intimate relationships that develop between the characters.

May 31: Following the performance we will read an excerpt from Mohammad Al Attar’s latest work Antigone of Syria, created with Syrian women refugees in Beirut.  Translated and directed by Tracy Cameron Francis. A discussion will follow and we will skype in the playwright from Beirut.
