What lies between theatre & art is the thread that ties the ongoing program of interdisciplinary projects and events at Theaterlab. Conceived as a white box theatre, the space is a reflective canvas in which the immediacy and intimacy of the creative act becomes the drama of performance.

Theaterlab is a laboratory of real-time experiments about art in a time when the art world seems to be collapsing into a series of representations of critical theory. It is a place where unique performances are produced and shown, a place for germination at the crossroad of Theatre and Art. The series of events presented at Theaterlab are interdependent, creating a thread of continuity which always points back to the theatre.

Theaterlab provides an increasingly rare experience, a portal into the world of real time. You cannot download it. You have to be there.

Theaterlab is the artistic home of directors Carlo Altomare and Orietta Crispino. Their collaboration in this laboratory is born of their diverse experiences: Altomare, a former member of the Living Theatre and a composer; Crispino, a director, performer and writer from the Italian stage. They met in New York 10 years ago and have focused their work on examining the interplay of the fundamental elements of their art.
